Account book, 1826-1828.

Entries record the name of the molder, type and quantity of items molded, and the amount of credit in dollars received for the products. Notes on who dressed the molds and the status of the account were written beneath the entry. The molders made such objects as griddles, kettles, pots, boilers, ladles, plates, salt work irons, wagon boxes, and "baskings" after an order was placed or an inventory of the stock on hand was taken. Debits were recorded for such things as board, paying the cook, cash advances to laborers, and rum. Accounts that were not settled were transferred to a day book that seems to have been started in 1828.
